You may well have seen on the news about the change to the bank holiday date. The May Day bank holiday has been moved from Monday, 4th May to Friday, 8th May 2019 to celebrate the 75 Anniversary of VE Day.
Please check your event planners for next year – if you have scheduled an event for 8th May then you may well need to consider moving it.
The change has only just been announced so if you or your members buy calendars, planners or diaries, especially if you have them branded with your details as business gifts, it is important that you check that the artwork has been updated to reflect the new bank holiday date. It is important that all businesses are aware of this so please forward to your members or include it in your newsletters.
