Position: Membership & Events Manager 

Salary: £24,000 pa 

Location: Flexible – office / home working

Office: WeWorks, Aviation House, Holborn – dog friendly policy

An opportunity has arisen to join a small team at PFMA – the leading trade body for the UK pet food industry based in Holborn, London.

This is a full-time position for a Membership & Events Manager with initiative, a can-do attitude and strong attention to detail, to join our small and friendly, pet loving team. The role offers scope for training and development.

The key tasks will be:


• Work with the Deputy Chief Executive to develop & implement a PFMA membership engagement strategy (goals and action plan)

• Support on ongoing membership engagement process     

• Refresh & maintain the PFMA New Member pack 

• Process new member enquiries

• Improve existing PFMA membership promotion communications 

• Manage member turnovers and invoices (mainly April to June)

Website & database management 

• Website management 

• Regular updates to the members-only website and setting up new accounts for members 

• Management of data and contact lists (members and stakeholders)

• Running various questionnaires and surveys (mainly December to March) 


• Working with the team and lead on the planning and delivery of events including London Vet Show, Annual Convention, Seminars, Committee meetings (date coordination, rooms, catering, potentially ad-hoc note taking)


• General assistance for PFMA Press Office and Communications

• Support on PFMA Twitter page & LinkedIn

• Produce weekly Your News for members 

• Produce and distribute the PFMA Quarterly Newsletter – we are looking to revise this process. A task will be to research and recommend the best way forward. To then coordinate this going forward


• Manage the PFMA mailbox. Respond / direct to colleagues 

• Coordinate education materials orders

• Book keeping
