The Brick Development Association are looking for a marketer with a natural affinity for construction products, to be our new Marketing Manager and to join our team and contribute to the future success of UK brick manufacturing. This is a high-profile job ensuring strong working relationships are formed across the brick industry and the wider construction product marketplace.
The BDA represents the UK clay brick and paver manufacturers and our role is to ensure clay bricks and pavers are recognised as the material of choice by architects, regulators, developers, builders, house builders, engineers, and property owners. We are responsible for promoting the contribution that brick makes to the places and spaces that people live and work in today and this marketing function plays a major role in both supporting and underpinning that process.
This role requires a unique marketer who can readily understand and develop the strategic needs of the BDA but is equally comfortable with a ‘hands-on’ approach and will enjoy delivering a first-class service on a day-to-day basis. The excellent attention to detail as they run with and manage the ongoing and forthcoming marketing plan which includes supporting our office team, in delivering our annual Brick Awards. A key part of this role is working with the Members, senior managers, and leaders of the industry.
The Manager works within a highly professional team, mostly alongside the Events Manager, Technical Manager and CEO and is an influential member of the Association’s guiding management team. He or she will demonstrate a high level of professionalism combined with a passion for the industry. This is a diverse role that requires the ability to present at Board level, as well as engaging appropriately with professionals such as architects and engineers.
We’re a small team that works closely together and at pace, to meet the needs of our members. In addition to a collaborative approach, you will enjoy a high degree of autonomy. You will report directly to the CEO and as a national body that represents 99% of the sector, this will afford you significant responsibility.
You are likely to have a background in marketing, communications and or design with a good working knowldge of both Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and Google Analytics and standardised website protocols, all running on an IOS platform.
You will be responsible for pulling together our publications portfolio and developing infographics, brochures and similar documents under consultation with our various industry based teams.
Based in Store Street, Bloomsbury, we enjoy a central London location easily accessible by public transport and surrounded by the capital’s thriving retail and social scene. We will consider flexible working arrangements and you will be required to travel domestically and occasionally, internationally.
