Permanent, Full Time   My client a well established and reputable trade association membership body is currently looking for an Events Manager,   The Role of Events Manager   To support the Senior Events Manager to ensure delivery of regional and national events, conferences and courses, both virtual and face-to-face, that meet expected standards of delivery and support strategic aims, providing a strong annual financial contribution   In support of member engagement and retention initiatives, supporting the Senior Events Manager to ensure that the national and regional events programme overall, and at an individual event level, is planned and delivered in an effective and cost-efficient manner, ensuring that members are engaged with, understand and value their membership and that events provide a strong annual financial contribution and deliver year-on-year growth in events income.   To co-manage stakeholder relations for national and regional event development and delivery with  volunteer body of Committee Chairs and event leads to ensure that events meet both national and regional standards and objectives.   The Person   Essential   A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a conference/ events environment Experience of managing all aspects of event development and delivery from initiation, planning, project management, delivery and post-event evaluation. Experience of building, monitoring and reporting on financial budgets. The ability to plan, manage projects and prioritise conflicting deadlines and to deal effectively with changing requirements. A self-starter with proven ability to plan and manage events with minimal supervision The ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder  and client relations The ability to manage positive supplier relationships, and negotiate the best possible value for money Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills will be required Strong numeracy skills and proven ability to manage budgets, identify savings and provide value for money Be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook Have a good understanding of general marketing and business development principals Excellent attention to detail Knowledge of a CRM data base   Desirable   Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Experience of managing and working with volunteer committees and working groups, for the purposes of delivering an event portfolio.   To apply for Events Manager please send your CV.   Due to the volume of applications we are only able to contact successful applicants.
