Description

Working with the Deputy CEO, assembling complex ideas, issues and observations into solutions that meet the people development and learning needs of our global membership in alignment with our vision and mission.

We are looking for a Learning Development Manager to join our dynamic and energetic team. This new role in our organisation has been created due to continuing growth worldwide, presenting excellent career advancement opportunities.

Joining the team, you’ll manage our Learning & Development projects, including apprenticeships, national occupational standards, new and revised training materials, our licensed training centres and accredited training partners globally and a host of other projects that are currently being evaluated and created. You’ll also work with our members and training staff to develop new course materials and refresher training, including bespoke training for our industry as may be required.

This hybrid role will be between our head office in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, working from home and at various locations globally in support of our membership. Laptop and communication tools are provided and company credit cards are used for all approved expenses.

About you:

You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be prepared to attend meetings and events globally, supporting our CEO and Deputy CEO as required. A multi-tasking, flexible attitude to your work is essential for this role.

It would be advantage to have practical experience of lifting equipment and a background working in the lifting industry, but training will be offered where needed as part of your induction and ongoing CPD. You will however need:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good time management
  • To be able to work under pressure
  • Competent IT skills particularly in MS Office. Experience of Learning Management Systems would be advantageous
  • To work independently in the UK and overseas
