The Property Care Association (PCA) – a member of Trustmark, the Government-backed scheme to find trusted tradespeople - has been in existence for almost 80 years, formerly as the British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association (BWPDA) and during this time much academic research and practical application has been carried out into the subject of rising damp to reach the understanding of the problem we have today.
Property professionals working with damp problems or timber infestations are being invited to attend a Property Care Association (PCA) training course in September.
Basement conversions take prominence in the latest issue of a new magazine aimed at professionals in the property world, launched by a leading trade organisation.
The Property Care Association (PCA), the trade body for the building preservation agency, issued the first edition of the full colour quarterly magazine Property Care in the spring.
The latest issue, due out at the end of June, will carry an in-depth report on basement conversions.
