Science for Environment Policy

'Science for Environment Policy' subscribers are in for a treat this month with the launch of a new service. Catering to subscriber demand, Directorate-General Environment of the European Commission has extended the popular weekly news service for policy makers to include focused thematic issues. In a recently conducted survey, subscribers requested issues focused on specific topics, believing the added context possible in a focused issue would bring additional benefits. The new thematic issues will reflect current thinking on key environmental policy issues, adding significantly to the news alert service, which already acts as an important line of communication between the international research and the public policy communities.
