CIRIA operates across a wide range of sectors and disciplines relating to the built environment and infrastructure. We specialise in knowledge transfer activities including publications, web-sites, events and training. Our approach is collaborative, bringing together various stakeholders and disciplines. Our focus areas bridge science and evidence, policy and practice. Our activities are acknowledged as being authoritative and independent, many being applied internationally.
Effective engagement underpins our programme helping us to understand and respond to the challenges faced by the industry, its clients and suppliers. For identified challenges we define desired outcomes and secure the funding and resources to deliver a programme of activities to achieve these. Programmes are then delivered by project managers working with appointed specialist, and liaising with stakeholders with peer review, throughout. Project managers’ portfolios can span a wide area of activities and sectors, which requires a flexible approach.
An expanding workload across our portfolio means that we are looking for talented individuals to join our team. We are particularly interested in recruiting a manager with significant UK based experience gained in one or more of the following areas:
· Asset management, particularly ground engineering
· River and coastal engineering
· Digital construction technologies
· Sustainable water management.
Candidates should have an appropriate degree, industry awareness and contacts in one or more of these areas, excellent communications skills, experience in (written) knowledge transfer activities, the willingness to understand the symptoms, root causes and potential solutions to the sector’s challenges, and the determination to help deliver these solutions.
We would be equally interested in hearing from you if you have significant experience of delivering or brokering collaborative industry – academic projects or other innovation-focussed activities within the sector.

Our preference is for office-based full-time staff, but we would consider part-time appointments and/or the flexibility to occasionally work from home.
Salary –up to £40k depending on experience and includes benefits
